Total Submission to God: Freedom from the Hunger of the World

Apostle Tose Ndebele

In this powerful and eye-opening sermon, believers are called to embrace total submission to God as the foundation of true spiritual authority. The message reveals that rebellion — whether toward God, parents, spiritual leaders, or spouses — causes a loss of power and favor in the spiritual realm. Submission may not always feel easy or pleasant, but it is the key that unlocks divine authority, peace, and protection.

Jesus: The Bread of Life

Jesus declared in John 6:35, “I am the Bread of Life. Whoever comes to Me shall never hunger, and whoever believes in Me shall never thirst.”
This scripture is the heart of the message. When we truly come to Jesus and remain in Him, we are filled — our hearts no longer crave sin, validation, or worldly pleasure.

Many people today are spiritually empty because they continue to seek satisfaction in attention, relationships, social media, or material success. But when our hearts are fully surrendered to Christ, we no longer chase after temporary things. Instead, we find lasting joy and fulfillment in His presence.

The Danger of Rebellion and Pride

Apostle Tose Ndebele’s message warns that rebellion, pride, and disobedience open doors for the enemy. Whether it’s resisting a spouse, dishonoring parents, or rejecting godly authority, these actions weaken spiritual covering.
Even in leadership, the preacher reminds that true power flows through humility and submission, not through titles, applause, or outward display.

A powerful statement from the sermon says:

“Some of the things we call honor are simply attending to emptiness.”
When we crave recognition more than God’s presence, we become spiritually starved — hungry for approval, but empty of power.

Transformation vs. Reformation

The sermon draws a distinction between being reformed and being transformed.
Reformation is an outward change — behaving better without a change of heart. Transformation, however, happens from within through the power of the Holy Spirit.
When we are truly transformed, we lose the appetite for sin. We no longer need validation, attention, or worldly approval. Instead, we live from a place of fullness in Christ.

As the message declares:

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and the new has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

The Hunger That Destroys

Every temptation begins with hunger — a desire for something we do not have. The devil uses hunger and thirst to lead believers astray, just as he tempted Eve with the fruit in the Garden.
When we hunger for attention, pleasure, or material success, we give the enemy a foothold. But when we are filled with Christ, Satan loses his power over us.

“When you have no hunger, the devil has no business with you.”

Apostle Tose Ndebele explains that even dreams of eating or drinking can symbolize spiritual hunger, which gives the enemy access. Therefore, every believer must stay spiritually full through prayer, fasting, and communion with God’s Word.

Living in Complete Surrender

True submission is not weakness — it is strength under control. When we submit to God, we align with His will and gain authority over sin and temptation.
Believers are encouraged to continually come before God, acknowledging their dependence on Him daily. This posture of humility keeps the heart pure and the spirit strong.

“We must graduate to a level where we have no hunger for sin.”

Doing the Will of God

Jesus said, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work” (John 4:34).
This means that obedience to God was His source of strength and satisfaction.
When we focus on doing God’s will and completing our divine assignment, we have no room for distractions or compromise. The more we pursue His purpose, the less we desire worldly things.

The message challenges believers to shift their hunger from personal ambition to kingdom purpose. When we make God’s will our “food,” we find peace, joy, and divine fulfillment.

A life of submission to God is a life of freedom, authority, and peace. When we stop chasing the temporary and allow Christ to fill us daily, we no longer hunger for what the world offers. We become spiritually strong, unshakable, and effective in fulfilling our divine purpose.
May this message remind every believer that true satisfaction and power are found only in complete surrender to Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life.

Reflection Prayer

“Lord, remove every hunger and thirst for worldly things within me. Fill me with a hunger for Your presence and a desire to do Your will. Help me to live a life of total submission, free from sin, and fully committed to completing the assignment You have given me.”
